On an afternoon when the play didn’t quite match the magnificence of the weather, Wissahickon won its season-opening match over Abington under the league’s new tiebreaker rules as the Trojans’ sixth man outscored his Ghost counterpart 49 to 51. Alex Kim, Matt Petrosky and Ben Hessler, all first-year varsity players, figured prominently in Wissahickon’s nail-biting victory while third-year starter Rishab Kumar tied for low scoring honors with Abington’s Nick Coyle.
