#1 CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 4, #8 NESHAMINY 0
The Titans earned the shutout win over the Redskins, but Steve Glik made things as difficult as possible for SHSHL’s top seed. The Redskins’ outstanding goalie entered the game with 439 saves and a .901 save percentage. Glik was even better than that in Monday’s playoff opener, turning away 57 of 61 shots (.934) in a dazzling performance between the pipes.
Tyler Boylan scored the only goal the Titans would need 3:07 into the opening period, using assists from Reis Braccio and Matt Stoll. It was a 1-0 game until the 14:16 mark of the second period when Stoll used assists from Frank Carter and Matt Minalesi to score a goal that put the Titans on top 2-0. Braccio scored in the closing seconds of the period, using a Ryan Gingras assist, and the Titans led 3-0 after two periods.
Dominic Patrone’s goal with assists from Evan King and Colin Abbonizio 2:25 into the third period gave the Titans their final margin of victory.
Tim White recorded nine saves in the shutout win in goal for the Titans, who held a lopsided 51-9 advantage in shots.
Central Bucks South will face North Penn in a semifinal game at Warwick at 7 p.m.

#2 PENNRIDGE 4, # 7 CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1
Eric Slater and Patrick McGinley once again provided an effective one-two punch for the Rams. Slater connected for a hat trick while McGinley had three assists. It was more than enough to propel the Rams into Wednesday’s SHSHL semifinals where they will face a Central Bucks West squad that pulled off the upset of the night. The sixth-seeded Bucks knocked off third-seeded Council Rock South.
In the opening period, the Rams held an 11-6 advantage in shots, but that was negated by the 11-save effort of East goalie Ogonowski as the two teams battled to a 0-0 tie. Early in the second, Slater scored with assists from McGinley and Michael Walker, marking the beginning of a 3-0 Ram tear. Slater’s second goal – also with a McGinley assist – put the Rams on top 2-0 just under four minutes into the period. Nick Eissler (Michael Eissler, Matthew Guinette assists) put the Rams on top 3-0 before East’s Colin Quinn connected on a power play goal, using assists from Owen Connor and Michael Forley.
Slater (Walker, McGinley assists) closed out the scoring with a goal early in the third period.
Luke Stranick earned the win in goal for the Rams, turning away 15 of 16 shots. Ogonowski was credited with 39 saves for the Patriots.

#6 CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, #3 COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2, OT
Jake Lang turned a Christian Young pass into the game winner 1:36 into sudden death overtime, giving the Bucks a heartstopping 3-2 upset win over the Golden Hawks at Revolution Ice Gardens. It was the first shot by either team in OT in Monday’s opening round thriller in the SHSHL AA playoffs.
Lang and Young weren’t the only heroes in this one for the Bucks, who were kept in the game by the stellar 49-save effort of goalie Jeremy Kennard.
The Bucks served early notice that they meant business, battling the Golden Hawks to a 1-1 tie after one period. Owen Shields (Joey Rockovich, Daniel Poliak assists) put West on the board 8:47 into the period. The Titans came back to knot the score when Collin Kleiser turned a pass from goalie Jeremy Siegel into the equalizer late in the period.
Rockovich (Evan Johnson assist) scored in the final minute of the second period, breaking the 1-1 tie and sending West into the final period with a one-goal advantage. That score stood until Jared Wagenmann’s power play goal with five-and-a-half minutes remaining that knotted the score 2-2, setting the stage for overtime.
Rock South held a 51-35 advantage in goal, but Kennard erased that advantage with his glittering performance. Siegel recorded 35 saves in goal for the Golden Hawks.
Central Bucks West will take on second-seeded Pennridge on Wednesday in a semifinal game at Hatfield Ice at 7:10 p.m.

#4 NORTH PENN 12, #5 COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 6
Andrew Galetta had himself a game, scoring five goals and assisting on three others to lead North Penn to the opening round win. George Boyle (one goal, three assists) and Joshua Kaufhold (four assists) both had four-point games. For the Indians, Daniel Guest and CJ Zemzik led the way. Both had three goals and one assist for four points.
The game was a roller coaster ride for both sides as the Knights appeared to be in complete command after opening up a 6-1 lead at the end of one period, but that advantage disappeared in a hurry in the second period as the Indians came roaring back to make it a one-goal game heading into the final period. The Knights had the final say, reeling off five unanswered goals to close it out.
Alex Stevens got the ball rolling for North Penn with a goal one minute into the game, using assists from Tyler Greenstein and Eric Sarbacker. Just over a minute later, Nathan Oh found the net (Galetta, Boyle assists), and then it was Greenstein (Boyle, Kaufhold assists) connecting for a goal that gave the Knights a 3-0 lead. Galetta’s first goal with assists from Jared Albano and Luke Van Why put the Knights on top 4-0 before the game was five minutes old.  Two more goals by Galetta – the first short handed and the second with a Boyle assist – gave the Knights a 6-0 lead before Zemic scored with a Jared Epstein assist to make it a 6-1 game.
A pair of goals by Guest sandwiched around two goals by Zemik in the opening 7:35 of the second period made things very interesting as the Indians pulled to within one, 6-5. Nathan Oh’s power play goal was followed by a short-handed goal by Guest (Zac Herman assist), and it was a 7-6 game heading into a third period that belonged to North Penn.
Scoring single goals for the Knights were John Kim and Greenstein. Galetta closed it out with back-to-back goals for the 12-6 final.
Albano, Thomas Boyle and Sarbacker each contributed a pair of assists for the Knights while Cavan Tully had a pair for the Indians.
Andrew Zanoni turned away 16 shots in a winning effort for the Knights in goal.
