SOUDERTON 4, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2
Gabe Evans connected for the hat trick to lead the Indians to a win over the Patriots Friday.
Colin Quinn (Trevor Larson assist) put the Patriots on the scoreboard first at the 4:17 mark of the opening period, but Evans’ first goal of the night just over a minute later knotted the score. Bryan McIntosh (Quinn assist) gave the Patriots a 2-1 lead with a goal at the 14:01 mark, but again Evans answered, this time using assists from Jordan Engelhart and Miles Minnick to knot the score 2-2 after one period.
The Indians scored a pair of unanswered goals in the second period. Engelhart (Tyler Johnson/Minnick assists) scored a goal that turned out to be the game winner 3:13 into the period, and Evans tacked on an insurance goal midway through the period, scoring on a power play with a Joshua Reeves assist.
The Indians held a 41-16 advantage in shots. Goalie Joshua Smith turned away 14 shots to earn the win for Souderton. Zach Treger stopped 37 of 41 shots he faced for the Patriots.

Thursday, Feb. 4
HARRY S TRUMAN 8, HATBORO-HORSHAM 4
The Tigers exploded for five goals in the second period, erasing a 3-1 Hatter lead on their way to the win. Steven Avellino’s five-point night led a balanced Truman attack.
The Hatters went on top 2-0 after goals by Jordan Brenner (Brian Conlan assist) and Dylan McClure (Jacob Mueller assist). Truman’s William Findlay found the net to make it a 2-1 game (Zakary Keyser/Avellino assist), but McClure scored his second goal of the period – this one with an Adam Sheerr assist – to put the Hatters on top 3-1 after one period.
Back-to-back goals by Kyle Bennett – both with Russ Koenig assists – knotted the score. Bennett’s equalizer came 12:15 into the period and ignited a 4-0 Tiger tear in a span of less than four minutes to close out the period. Avellino scored back-to-back goals – the first one short-handed and the second with a Koenig assist. A goal by Keyser (Findlay assist) sent the Tigers into the final period with a 6-3 lead.
Avellino and Findlay capped a 7-0 Truman tear with third-period goals before Shane Mergen (Jonathan Herbert assist) connected for the Hatters.
The Tigers held a 46-30 advantage in shots. Kyle Huth earned the win in goal for the Tigers, turning away 26 shots.

WILLIAM TENNENT 9, PENNSBURY 2
The Panthers scored three goals in each period on their way to a convincing win over the Falcons. Charlie Feeney contributed four assists to lead the Panthers’ attack.
An empty net goal by Bobby Markus (Feeney assist) at the 3:29 mark put the Panthers on the board, and a power play goal by Chris Kreider (Sean Ovington/Liam Ovington assists) was followed by a Sean Ovington goal (Anthony Anzideo/Feeney assists) to send the Panthers into the second period with a 3-0 lead.
Jack McKeever (Feeney/John Dern assists) and Blake Bagdon scored to stretch that lead to 5-0 before Pennsbury’s Nathan Raccagno (Jake Sieger/Jack Kelly assists) put the Falcons on the board late in the period. Brett Goldstein got that goal back, connecting on a power play goal with assists from Anzideo and Mark Pantalone.
Tennent stretched its lead to 9-1 before Raccagno scored his second goal of the night.
The Panthers held a 31-11 advantage in shots. Eric Lineman turned away nine shots in a winning effort in goal for the Panthers.
