National Conference

Pennsbury 5, Harry S. Truman 2

The Falcons trailed 2-0 heading into the sixth inning when they received consecutive hits from D'Anna Devine, Christina Bascara, Mackenzie Obert and Jess Greenewald to go on top 3-2. Obert drove in the tying run, and Greenewald delivered the base hit that drove in what turned out to be the game winner. The Falcons tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the seventh.

Neshaminy 24, William Tennent 9
Continental Conference
Quakertown 4, North Penn 1
The Panthers pulled off the upset of the day, downing the Maidens one day after they had knocked Central Bucks South out of the ranks of the undefeated.
For the Panthers, Courtney Derstine was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Jess Cramp and Rachel Riche were both 2-for-3 with one RBI each. Maddie Mulhall tripled for the Panthers.
Justyna Pepkowski notched the win on the mound, scattering five hits over seven innings in a strong outing.
Steph Kulp led the Maidens with a 2-for-3 effort. She drove in the Maidens’ lone run.
Souderton 7, Pennridge 0
Liz Parkins was all but untouchable on the mound for the Indians, allowing just two hits while fanning 15.
Offensively, the Indians were led by the perfect 3-for-3 effort at the plate of Brittany Beebe, who also had a pair of RBIs. Mollie Burrell was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Burell got the ball rolling for the Indians in the first inning when she delivered a two-out RBI double that plated Sarah Derstine with what turned out to be the game winner. Beebe followed with a double to keep the rally alive. The Indians added a single run in the third and two more in both the fourth and fifth innings.
Taylor Schwartz and Megan Weisel also contributed RBIs for the Indians.
American Conference
Norristown 13, Cheltenham 0 (5 innings)
Sara Rosetti delivered a gem for the Eagles, tossing a two-hit shutout while striking out seven and facing only 18 batters in the abbreviated five-inning contest. The Eagles, meanwhile, pounded out 11 hits.
Sammi Kidd led the offense with three hits, which included two triples. Gwyn Botley and Gabbie Berry both had two hits. One of Botley’s hits was a triple. Julia Santoro, Gina Pellechio, Rosetti and Taylor Copestick also contributed one hit. Copestick’s hit was a triple.
Coach Jon Kandrick credited the strong defensive play of Kidd, who had several putouts in the outfield.
Wissahickon 7, Upper Merion 0
The Trojans remained unbeaten in conference play with their big win over the Vikings. It was a 1-0 game heading into the fifth inning when the Trojans exploded for three runs. They added three more in the sixth.
Gretchen Gualiagnone led the Trojans with a pair of hits. Teammates Kellie Gilman and Katie Ziegler each contributed triples for the Trojans with Ziegler delivering three RBIs. Rachel Philbin and Marina Mellor also had RBIs.
Ziegler earned the win on the mound, allowing four hits and striking out six while walking none.
