PENNSBURY 17, BENSALEM 7 (6 innings)
In a game that was all but a rerun of the preceding day, the Falcons and Owls once again found themselves in a slugfest, and once again, the game was halted after six innings with the Falcons on top on the scoreboard.
The Falcons took control of the game with an 11-run third inning, but the Owls didn’t go down quietly, scoring six runs of their own in the fifth.
For the Falcons, Naya Schubel was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Her three-run homer in the fifth inning made it a 16-8 game after the Owls scored six runs in the top of the inning. Schubel’s four RBIs led the Falcons.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 6, NESHAMINY 2
The Indians made it a clean sweep of their two-game season series with the Redskins, rallying from an early 1-0 deficit to earn the hard-fought win.
Twenty-four hours earlier, the Indians lost a heartbreaker in the seventh inning to archrival Council Rock South (7-6), and as bounce-back wins go, this was a big one.
“(This) was the last regular season game our seniors will ever play on our home field, and they really took that to heart and deserve a ton of credit for today's win,” Rock North coach Susan Yee said. “The girls had a really emotional and tough loss yesterday, so to see how they bounced back as a group today was really awesome.
“At the start, we really didn't have a great approach at the plate, and seven of the first nine outs recorded against us came via the strikeout.  Credit to Molly Sheehy and Taylor Gearhart - they rallied the troops and settled them down to completely change our mental approach at the plate, and it made all the difference.”
After spotting the Redskins a 1-0 lead in the first, the Indians knotted the score in the third with a two-out rally. Sierra Klein drew a walk, and Chelsea Seiler lined a double to center, putting runners on second and third for Zoe Hardy, whose bunt single plated the equalizer.
One inning later, the Indians staged another two-out rally. Kayla Ripper got things started with a double to center, and Taylor Gearhart followed and drew a walk. Ripper scored on a passed ball, and Gearhart scored to put the Indians on top 3-1 when Molly Sheehy grounded a single to left.
The Redskins made it a 3-2 game in the top of the sixth when Morgan Volgraf, who tripled, scored on a groundout.
In the bottom of the inning, the Indians tacked on three insurance runs. Olivia Schlindwein and Ripper hit back-to-back singles, and Gearhart followed with a line drive double that plated a run. With two outs, Klein roped a two-run double to center for a 6-2 lead. Lucy Mills, who notched the complete game win, did the rest, retiring the ‘Skins in the seventh.
Mills allowed just four hits and two runs while walking two and striking out two. The Indians played flawless defense behind her.
“Lucy Mills did an absolutely astounding job in the circle for us today,” Yee said. “Neshaminy is a really good hitting team.  They put up a lot of runs, and they are capable of really driving the ball.
“For her to go a full seven innings and surrender only four hits is just a tremendous, tremendous job.  Her mound presence is absolutely fantastic, and she just worked her spins, hit her spots, and trusted that if she kept the batters off balance the defense would do their job, and they absolutely did.”
At the plate, the Indians were led by the two-hit performances of Ripper (2-for-4, 2B, 2R), Gearhart (2-for-3, 2B, RBI, 2R), Sheehy (2-for-4, RBI) and Schlindwein (2-for-3, 2B, R).
For the Redskins, Volgraf was 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI and run scored.

Council Rock North (10-7, 7-7 SOL) will travel to Bristol for a non-league game Saturday, and Neshaminy (11-6, 10-5) will host Conestoga in a non-league game Saturday at 10 a.m.

SOUDERTON 8, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2
After scoring just three runs in their last three games combined, the Indians found their offensive stride, erupting for 13 hits in Wednesday’s win that brought a welcome end to the team’s three-game skid.  The top four batters in their lineup were a combined 8-for-12 while Ava Elliott, batting out of the nine hole, was a perfect 4-for-4.
Despite their offensive production, the Indians led by just one heading into the seventh inning when they erupted for five runs.
Souderton put a run on the board in the first when Kiera Fadden, who led off with a single, scored on Camryn Nadolski’s ground single to right.
In the top of the third, they tacked on a run. Kendall Clemmer and Nadolski opened the inning with back-to-back singles, and Nadolski scored on a groundout. In the fourth, Elliott hit a two-out double to right field and scored when Fadden picked up her second hit of the day, staking the Indians to a 3-0 lead.
The Patriots made things interesting with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Lyla Becker drew a leadoff walk, and Olivia Owtscharuk followed with a single. One out later, Becker scored on a groundout, and Hailey Helmstetter’s double to left plated the second run.
Souderton’s five-run fifth was highlighted by singles from Clemmer, Makayla Mihelcic (RBI), Ava Detwiler and Elliott (RBI). The Indians also benefitted from a walk and Patriot miscue.
Three pitchers saw action for the Indians. McKenna Schroder did not allow a hit in two shutout innings to open the game, striking out a pair. Skyler Byrnes threw the next four, allowing three hits and two runs, striking out five and walking one. Bella Kreyenhagen tossed a scoreless seventh.
In addition to Elliott, the Indians received multi-hit efforts from Fadden (2-for-4, RBI, R), Clemmer (2-for-4, R), Nadolski (2-for-4, RBI) and Mihelcic (2-for-4, RBI, R).
Souderton (9-7, 6-7 SOL) will travel to Methacton for a non-league game Friday, and Central Bucks East (4-14, 1-14) will be on the road at Villa Joseph Marie for a non-league game Monday.

Non-league
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 5, CONWELL-EGAN 3
The Bucks travelled to Fairless Hills for a non-league game against Conwell-Egan and notched their 11th win of the season.
Ana Glemser started the game in the circle for West and went four strong innings, giving up two runs on four hits and striking out one batter. Sienna Lawson closed out the game, throwing the final three innings in relief and only giving up one run.
It took a game-saving defensive play in the bottom of the seventh with two outs and two runners in scoring position to preserve the win.
“Second baseman Taylor Hooven fielded a hard-hit ground ball up the middle and threw out the leadoff batter,” West coach Mike Daher said. “Had the hit found its way into center field, it would have tied the game at 5-5. Her play most definitely saved the win.”
West hit well throughout the game, collecting 13 hits but stranding 11 runners.
The offensive leaders for West were leadoff hitter Jill Boyle with three singles and a stolen base on the day. Molly Gibson had two hits and drove in a run for the Bucks. Emily Gerstein went 2-for-3 and reached base all three plate appearances for West. Hooven also chipped in a hit and an RBI. Avery Rubenstein collected a hit and scored two runs.
The Bucks also played solid defense throughout the contest. Daher credited the strong defensive play of Julia Thomas, Emily Gerstein, Jill Boyle and Laila Murray.
“Ava Mattes was solid again behind the plate,” the Bucks’ ‘coach said. “This was a good win for us, beating a very good Catholic League team on their field. We hit the ball well, got good pitching and played solid defense. Our only negative was leaving too many runners on base. Hopefully, it is something we can correct moving forward."

Central Bucks West (11-5, 10-4 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. game at Druckenmiller Park.

WEST CHESTER EAST 4, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 2 (8 innings)
It took eight innings, but the visiting Vikings plated two runs in the top of the eighth inning, benefitting from a pair of Colonial miscues to eke out the non-league win.
The loss snapped a 13-game winning streak for PW, which had not lost since falling to Quakertown on March 26.
The Vikings used a pair of hits and a walk to plate a pair of first-inning runs. That 2-0 lead stood until the bottom of the sixth.
Marissa Perez drew a leadoff walk, and she scored when Caelin Kosvitch hit a double to left field. Kosvitch scored one out later when Sam Skivo ripped a double to left field, knotting the score 2-2.
Both teams collected eight hits. Kosvitch (2-for-4, 2B, RBI, R) and Rian Reed (2-for-4) led the Colonials.
