The Souderton Girls Wrestling team competed at the CoalCracker Girls Invitational this past Saturday and Sunday at Jim Thorpe High School. There were almost 50 teams
and over 300 girls in attendance at the Varsity tournament.
Freshman MacKenna Atkinson lost her only match to the defending state champ (Nationally ranked #5) in the semis by decision and came back for 3rd place. She is 18-2 on the season.
Sophomore Emily Sarr took 5th place in a very good bracket only losing to state ranked opponents.
At the JV level Freshman Emily Hernandez took 3rd place in a large bracket to place this weekend. (Photo attached of Emily)
