STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Player of the Week:

Ricky Johns, North Penn – The West Virginia-bound senior turned in a monster performance on both sides of the football in North Penn’s 28-19 win over Spring-Ford in a District One 6A quarterfinal game. Johns caught seven passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 27.4 yards a reception. He also had a key interception in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Coach Dick Beck says:  “The first touchdown pass on the post (for 87 yards) probably put them back on their heels in the secondary. Then he made two really tight catches that were in traffic between the safety and the corner. His second touchdown pass he got kind of sandwiched between the safety and the corner and split them and walked in from 15 yards out. Defensively, he’s got this knack of dropping into the zone and kind of getting a great feel for it and getting an interception on a pass play that the quarterback doesn’t think he’s got a shot to drop into that zone, and he gets there and makes the pick because he’s so long, and he’s got a good feel for the spacing. He had a big interception for us also in the fourth quarter.”
