Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services of Wrightstown is proud to recognize the Players of the Game for SOL teams that are part of each week’s SuburbanOneSports.com’s Featured Game(s).
PENNSBURY at PENNRIDGE (Pennridge 28, Pennsbury 27)
Sterling Limousine Offensive Player of the Game – Mike Class, Pennridge
The Rams’ junior standout had another big night, accumulating 150 yards rushing and two touchdowns. His 69-yard touchdown run to open the second half gave the Rams a 21-7 lead. In Friday’s win, Class broke the single season rushing record set by Ryan Greiser. He also had a quarterback sack to seal the win.
Sterling Limousine Defensive Co-Players of the Game – Kenny Crawford & John Dubyk, Pennridge
The two seniors captains anchored a Pennridge defense that limited the Falcons to just seven points until they staged a late-game rally. Both players, according to coach Randy Cuthbert, were ‘beasts’ against Pennsbury.”
Sterling Limousine Special Teams Co-Players of the Game – Jordan Garis & Devon Balmer, Pennridge
After the Rams opened up a 21-7 lead, Garis caused a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, and it was Balmer who recovered the fumble. The play loomed large when the Rams turned that fumble into a touchdown and a 28-7 lead.
NESHAMINY at CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH (Neshaminy 14, CB South 7)
Sterling Limousine Offensive Player of the Game – Nate Hall, Neshaminy
The senior running back was a workhorse for the Redskins. Hall had 282 yards on 37 carries and two touchdowns to lead the offense.
Coach Mark Schmidt says: “Nate ran better this week. He had a little more determination. Two weeks ago, he was making some decent runs, but he wasn’t very decisive at the holes. This week he had a better defense playing against him, and he really did a good job of making a couple of plays bigger. We got him into the second level, and he was able to get moving a little bit. I was real happy with the way he ran. He ran hard, and he certainly ran tough. With that kind of workload, that’s pretty good. I was really proud of him.”
Sterling Limousine Defensive Player of the Game – Alex Nicolas, Neshaminy
Nicolas was a major contributor to a Redskins defense that held the high-scoring Titans to just seven points. He finished the night with three solo tackles, three assists, one tackle for a loss and one sack.
Coach Mark Schmidt says: “He’s a little fireball. When he does what we need him to do, he can wreak some havoc in there because he doesn’t stay blocked very often, and he really gets going. He’s very deceptive speed-wise. He clears the block, and he can run you down. If you give him the crease, he can really get to that quarterback in a hurry.”
Sterling Limousine Special Teams Player of the Game – Zack Miller, Neshaminy
The Redskins’ punter had five punts for 151 yards with a long of 47 yards. Three of his punts pinned the Titans inside their own 20.
Coach Mark Schmidt says: “He did a nice job. He’s another guy that’s been in my doghouse lately, but he had a good week this week. He picked it up for us, and I was real proud of him. He hit some real good ones, nice high kicks and didn’t give them a chance to return. We stressed that the last couple of weeks, but with the weather and situations we had to deal with, he didn’t get a lot of reps. This week he did, and he really answered the bell. I was really happy for Zack. He did a great job.”
