STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First star: Drasaun Moore & Keith Parrish, Bensalem –
Moore, the Owls’ senior quarterback, completed 4-of-6 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns in Bensalem’s 42-14 win over Council Rock North. He also had nine carries for 114 yards and a TD. Parrish – who finished with four touchdowns - had three receptions for 135 yards and two touchdowns. He had eight carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Coach Ed Cubbage Says:  In my opinion, Keith is one of the top players in Southeastern Pennsylvania.  He does it all for us. Runs, catches, tackles, and punts.  If we needed him to pass he could do that too.  Keith is an old school three sport athlete who is going to make some college coach look very smart.
Drasaun Moore is a very dynamic athlete.  He can drive a defense crazy with his arm or legs.  Thankfully for us he has played his best football as the season has gone on.

First star, Zach Demarchis, Pennsbury – The senior quarterback had five touchdowns in Pennsbury’s 42-28 come-from-behind win over Abington. He threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns and also had 105 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Second star: Michael Welde, Council Rock North – The senior running back had 204 rushing yards on 29 carries in Council Rock North’s 42-14 loss to Bensalem.

Third star:  Darryl Davis-McNeil, Abington – The senior running back had 229 yards on the ground and four touchdowns in Abington’s 42-28 loss to Pennsbury.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Game:
First star: Jack Neri, Central Bucks West –
The sophomore has stepped into the safety position for the Bucks, and in the Bucks 14-13 win over Central Bucks East, Neri was an impact player, finishing with 11 tackles, one tackle for a loss, one fumble recovery and one pass break-up. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown.
Coach Chas Cathers says:  “He’s done a nice job. We had an injury in our secondary with Don McCauley, and Jack has been stepping up and really stepped into that position. We’re only as strong as our weakest link, so it’s nice for him to come in and have a couple of great performances as far as taking over for Don. He’s a sophomore, and we’re looking for him to progress and only get better.
“He was a guy we brought up as a freshman, but he had an injury last year. He’s been with the varsity since his freshman year, and he’s someone we’re definitely getting ready to be a guy we want to be in there at all times. We have our ‘next man in’ mentality, and he was the next one in, and he’s done a great job, stepping in and playing hard football. His fumble recovery for a touchdown was huge. We definitely didn’t help ourselves at times, but he stepped in and did a nice job for us.”

First star:  Nick Tarburton, Joe Devine, Jaden Bass and Cooper Chaikin, Pennridge – The Rams’ foursome combined for five interceptions to lead a standout defensive effort in Pennridge’s 21-7 win over Central Bucks South. Cooper Chaikin, a sophomore, led the way with a pair of interceptions.
Coach Jeff Hollenbach says:  “These four players had outstanding games which included five interceptions (one short of the school record). They, along with the rest of the defense, held the opponent to 45 passing yards on 24 attempts.  Cooper Chaikin had two of the interceptions, and he was coming off an injury.  This was his first game of the year.”

Second star:  Javeer Peterson, Harry S Truman – The junior safety had an interception, scored a touchdown on his first play ever in the backfield, blocked a field goal, caught a 48-yard pass when the Tigers were deep in their own territory, and also showed a great second effort, running down a Souderton running back for almost 50 yards across the field to prevent a touchdown in Harry S Truman’s 33-7 win over Souderton.

Third star: Cullen Abrahamsen, Council Rock North - The junior linebacker had six tackles, one tackle for a loss and two forced fumbles in Council Rock North’s 42-14 loss to Bensalem.

Sterling Limo Special Teams Players of the Game:
First star: Justin Grady, Cheltenham –
The junior placekicker was the difference in Cheltenham’s 23-20 win over Wissahickon, nailing field goals of 21, 27 and 45 yards. He also connected on both of his extra point attempts.
Coach Ryan Nase says:  “What was most impressive was that his furthest field goal was from 45 yards, and he did so with a poor snap, and I’m not sure that it wouldn’t have been good from 50-plus. He hit it with room to spare. He’d play in 3:30 soccer game and then come to our game and kicked in our game. He’s literally doing it all on Friday nights. We worked our special teams schedule around his soccer schedule, so we tried to get him to practice two to three days a week. We talked to him at the beginning of every week, and when he was going to be there, that’s when we put our special teams practices in.
“He’s a Division 1 soccer recruit, and this is the first time where he’s really garnered a significant amount of attention for football. I’m not sure that if he doesn’t want to be, he won’t be a Division 1 football recruit as well. He’s put himself in a great position because he has a 3.98 GPA. Not only is he our kicker, he’s our punter, and he’s had multiple games this season where he’s averaged 40-plus in punts. Unfortunately, we’ve been punting a lot. He really is a game changer. We had a comeback early in the year where we fell a little bit short, but a lot of it started with an on-sides kick where he kicked a ball behind his leg, and we recovered it and were able to go down and score a touchdown. Wherever we tell him to put it, he can put it there. It really is amazing just the natural ability he has for the game of football.”

Second star: Oliver Jervis, Pennridge – The Rams punter had three punts for an average of 36.7 with two of those punts downed inside the five in Pennridge’s 21-7 win over Central Bucks South.

SOL Honor Roll:
Gabe Gipli, Harry S Truman – A two-way player, Gipli scored the first touchdown of the game with a 30-yard interception return in Harry S Truman’s 33-7 win over Souderton.
Max Winebrake, Upper Dublin – The Cardinals’ senior was the catalyst of a defensive effort that limited the Hatters to just 69 rushing yards in Upper Dublin’s 14-7 win over Hatboro-Horsham.
