STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Player of the Week:
First star: Mike Slivka, Upper Dublin –
The junior quarterback was the catalyst on offense in Upper Dublin’s 27-0 win over Cheltenham. Slivka ran for 96 yards on 18 carries, and he completed 8-of-15 passes for 69 yards with no turnovers in the inclement weather.
Coach Bret Stover says:  “Mike is a junior and developing into an exceptional quarterback. He continues to improve every week through film study and on-the-field preparations. Mike has a nice supporting cast in Lucas Roselli and Mason Novak and an experienced receiving corps that features senior Dylan Zlotnikoff, Jason Scott and Selvin Haynes.

Sterling Limo Defensive Player of the Week
First star: Evan Spann, North Penn – A first-year player for the Knights, Spann has been a versatile contributor. In North Penn’s 13-6 win over Neshaminy, Spann – who was playing the Knight (outside linebacker) – led the defense with seven solo tackles and five assisted tackles. His interception and return for a touchdown in the game’s closing minutes sealed the win for the Knights.
Coach Dick Beck says:  “He’s been our lifesaver. He plays wide receiver, and then we began working him in on defense. We had an injury with Nick Intrieri, who got hurt, and we put in DJ Fisher, and DJ Fisher got hurt against William Tennent. We had to move things around, and we moved Evan to outside linebacker and moved Shamar (Edwards) to strong safety and moved Erik Laughlin to the inside linebacker position. So he’s gotten on the field defensively due to injury, but he’s been a very strong backup. He’s always been the first guy on the field when somebody got hurt. He had a great game on Friday. He just played so big for us.”
