STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First Star:  Chris Edwards, Hatboro-Horsham –
The Hatters’ junior quarter had a hand in all five of the Hatters’ touchdowns in their 35-14 win over archrival Upper Moreland – throwing for four and running for another. Edwards accounted for 287 of his team’s 353 yards of offense, connecting on 6-of-10 passes for 141 yards and running for 146 more yards. The win was the first of the season on the gridiron for the Hatters, who have a forfeit win over Springfield.
Coach Mike Kapusta says: “This was his best game, no doubt. Chris is a dynamic player. Clearly he ran the ball very hard and showed a knack for making big plays, but he showed that he is a dual-threat by throwing four TD passes at a very high completion percentage.”

Second star:  Darryl Davis-McNeil, Abington – The junior running back had a huge night in the Ghosts come-from-behind 35-31 win over Council Rock South, rushing for 271 yards and four touchdowns on 34 carries. Davis had TD runs of 59, 33, 30 and eight yards.
Second star: Marlyn Johnson, Wissahickon – The junior wide received had a career night in Wissahickon’s 39-36 loss to Plymouth Whitemarsh, finishing with 12 catches for 240 yards and three touchdowns.

Third star: Drasaun Moore, Bensalem – The junior quarterback rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another, delivering a clutch performance to lead Bensalem to a 28-21 win over Central Bucks West. It was Bensalem’s first win over Central Bucks since 1964 before the school split.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Game:
First star: Ben Yerk, Souderton –
The Indians’ senior safely led a stellar defensive effort by the Indians, who allowed just 230 yards in Souderton’s 7-0 loss to undefeated Central Bucks South.
Coach Ed Gallagher says:  “Ben Yerk has been steadily improving his play at the safety position. He was battling a hamstring issue earlier in the season, but he is starting to feel more comfortable out there now. He has led us in tackling for a few games already, and he turned in a very solid performance on Friday night against a tough CB South team. Ben also provides great leadership for us out there.”

Second star: Marco Rivera, Wissahickon – The junior linebacker finished with 13 tackles – four for a loss – in the Trojans’ 39-36 loss to Plymouth Whitemarsh.
Third star:  Oleh Manzyk, Neshaminy – The sophomore linebacker delivered eight solo tackles, one for a loss, and also was credited with one caused fumble in Neshaminy’s 62-28 win over Harry S Truman.

Sterling Limo Special Teams Players of the Game
First Star:  Casey Hedson, Abington –
The Ghosts’ placekicker was a perfect 5-for-5 in extra points on a night that saw Abington edge Council Rock South by four points (35-31).
Coach Kevin Conlin says:  “After a tough start this season, Casey has become a bright spot on our special teams.”

Second star: Rasheed Wright, Wissahickon – Wright raced 65 yards for a touchdown in Wissahickon’s 39-36 loss to Plymouth Whitemarsh

Third star:  Dylan McDonald, Neshaminy – The senior kicker had a busy night in Neshaminy’s 62-28 win over Harry S Truman, connecting on 8-of-9 extra points, delivering a 48-yard punt and nine kickoffs for 390 yards.
