PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Donte Mancini, Central Bucks West - The senior standout had 14 carries for 60 yards and two touchdowns. He also handled the punting chores, but his biggest contribution came on the defensive side of the football where he had a hand in numerous tackles, none larger than the game-saving tackle of Phil Picciotti he initiated on a fourth down play with time winding down. Mancini, a strong safety on defense, is one of just a few Bucks to play both ways, leaving the field only for PATs and kickoffs.
Coach Rob Rowen says: “Donte runs with tremendous vision in between the tackles and feeds off of contact. He’s the type of player who gets better as the game gets longer. He also accounted for several tackles defensively and one massive TFL that was part of the fourth down stop that clinched the victory. He’s consistently at the point of attack as a linebacker, and that’s because of his high football IQ. He’s like having another coach on the field as he often knows what’s coming before it comes.”

OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Ryan Zeltt, North Penn - In North Penn’s 42-21 win over Neshaminy, the junior quarterback completed 14-of-18 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a 17-yard touchdown run that broke a 14-14 tie and sent the Knights into halftime with a 21-14 lead. All three of his passing TDs came in the second half when the Knights blew open a close game.
Coach Dick Beck says: “I thought he handled their pressure pretty well, scrambling in certain situations. He scored a touchdown at the end of the half – they rifled a linebacker from the outside, he comes unblocked, and he stepped up in the pocket and ran 17 yards for the touchdown. He had a play action pass under pressure to Levi (Carroll).
“Zeltt’s been playing well for us. He’s about as productive as you can be as a quarterback. We ask a lot of him, we do almost everything besides drop back, play action to going empty and having him see the blitz and throwing to the hot receiver, plus reading the coverages and finding the right place to go. He’s been pretty spot on. This was a good bounce-back game. The Pennridge game wasn’t his best game, so I thought he bounced back pretty good.”
Zach Fondl, Quakertown - The senior wide receiver set a program record for most receiving yards in a game in Quakertown’s 36-14 win over Souderton in a battle for the top spot in the SOL Continental Conference. Fondl had eight receptions for 190 yards and two touchdowns with both touchdowns coming with the game on the line in the fourth quarter to give the Panthers control of the contest.
Coach George Banas says: “Zach has really been our go-to guy for big plays this year. He has stepped up to lead the wide receiver group. Zach is super positive and always has a smile on his face. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Zach as a college is going to not only get a great player but an outstanding individual.”

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alec Seserko, Central Bucks East – The senior kicker set a program record, connecting on 8-of-8 PATs in Central Bucks East’s 56-21 win over Pennsbury. He also had four touchbacks on kickoffs.
Coach John Donnelly says: “Alec had to pick up some extra kicking duties with Jack Corrigan out last week, and he stepped up in a big way going 8-8 for PAT’s setting a school record. Alec understands that it takes the entire battery (snap-hold-kick) along with the blocking up front to go 8-for-8. Registering four touchbacks was also big in establishing field position.”
Sterling Limo SOL Honor Roll
Johnny Adams, Springfield Township – The senior delivered a huge blocked PAT after a Trojan fourth quarter touchdown, allowing the Spartans to maintain a 7-6 lead on their way to the 14-6 win over Wissahickon.
