PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kam Wyatt, Cheltenham – The senior running back/safety was an impact player on both sides of the football in Cheltenham’s 27-12 win over Springfield Township in a game with potential playoff implications for both teams. Wyatt had 19 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 7.6 yards each touch. The senior captain also led the Panther with five solo tackles, one for a loss, and he caused one fumble and recovered a pair.
Coach Troy Gore says: “Kam is our leader, he’s the spirit of the team. He just turned it on on both sides of the ball. He’s our everything, Offensively, special teams, defense - he had a great game. Unfortunately, he can’t play anymore. Everything was done – the paperwork, the doctor notes, everything that was needed was done, but his transfer paperwork was not turned in in a timely fashion. Matt Hoffman, Brian Cherry and Kam Wyatt are done for the season. I’m losing both my team captains. It’s devastating.”

OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Brayden Porter, Souderton – In a game played in torrential rain and high winds, the senior running back was a workhorse in Souderton’s 34-12 win over Bensalem, a win that vaulted the Indians to 12th in the field of 16 District One 6A Tournament. Porter had 26 carries for 208 yards and two touchdowns, carrying the bulk of the workload on his shoulders for an Indians’ squad with a depleted backfield.
Coach Ed Gallagher says: “Brayden has had an outstanding season for us. We've had to rely on him more as the year has gone on due to injuries in our offensive backfield. His off-season training really prepared him to withstand the increased workload.”

DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Council Rock North Defense: Aden Roe, Kyle Oros, Gavin Swope, Fred Nolte, Will Scibona,
Brandon Boyd, Avi Patel, Dylan Siveter, Gavin Papp, Vaughn Vanderslice, James Paessler, and Jack Paessler – In a game that saw both teams struggle to generate anything on the offensive side of the football, Brandon Boyd recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown to give Rock North a 7-3 win over Council Rock South. The Indians’ defense limited the Golden Hawks to less than a hundred yards of total offense until the final desperation drive of the game that came up empty.
Coach John Greiner says: “The Council Rock North defense as a group put together a stellar performance on Friday night in the monsoonal playing conditions against their rival Council Rock South. The defensive unit held the Golden Hawks explosive offense to a lone field goal throughout the night and contained their very potent run game. With their hard hitting and physical presence, they caused two turnovers to help control the field position which played a strong part in determining the 7-3 victory. Throughout the year, they did a masterful job of playing four full quarters of team defense which is an attribute to the stylings of the assistant coaches on the staff. The defensive unit included Aden Roe, Kyle Oros, Gavin Swope, Fred Nolte, Will Scibona, Brandon Boyd, Avi Patel, Dylan Siveter, Gavin Papp, Vaughn Vanderslice, James Paessler, and Jack Paessler.”
