Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services of Wrightstown is proud to recognize the Players of the Week. Players are chosen based on the nomination of SOL coaches and football contributors.

STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ethan Shine, Central Bucks East – The senior running back/linebacker did it all in Central Bucks East’s 42-0 win over Bensalem. He excelled on both sides of the football, finishing with 195 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. On defense, he had seven tackles – three tackles for a loss.

Coach John Donnelly says:  “As good a football player as he is, Ethan is an even better person. He’s very unselfish and would be the first one to thank the offensive line for the holes they created for him. He’s just a really special kid. I’ve known him forever. He was in our Patriot Youth Camps when he was a kid growing up. He’s just a special young man, and we’re glad he’s on our team.

STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Stephen Broderick, Upper Moreland – The senior running back had 187 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries in Upper Moreland’s 41-13 win over Archbishop Carroll. Through two games, Broderick had 347 yards and six touchdowns on 27 carries. He also had three receptions for 93 yards.

Coach Adam Beach says: "Stephen has worked hard this offseason to prepare himself to be the best possible football player he can be. He was voted captain by his teammates and has been a leader on and off the field. He is a great kid, and you are so happy for him when he has success because of all the work he has put in."

STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Tommy Hannon & Joe Foy, Plymouth Whitemarsh – Foy, a senior defensive lineman, and Hannon, a senior linebacker, were the catalysts of a lockdown defensive effort in Plymouth Whitemarsh’s 34-0 win over Methacton that saw the Warriors manage just three first downs and generate less that 50 yards total offense. Hannon had an interception.

Coach Dan Chang says: “Both Tommy and Joe were stellar in their defensive play. They were disruptive in nature and fundamentally strong all night.”
