Terroni & Calvert Top SOL National Bowlers

Pennsbury’s John Terroni and Neshaminy’s Birttany Calvert finished the season as the top boys’ and girls’ bowlers in the Suburban One National Conference. Terroni finished with an average of 225, besting No. 2 finisher Kevin Patterson of Council Rock South (211), and Calvert clocked a 189, besting Pennsbury’s Ashley Plenski (187).

The bowlers were honored at the SOL’s annual singles tournament at Brunswick Zone in Feasterville on Feb. 16.
At the tournament, Pennsbury’s Matt Thompson won first place in the SOL National Conference with a 701 series, and Council Rock South’s Daniella Modica won the girls’ competition with a 605.
In the SOL Continental Conference, Kyle Transue of North Penn (708) and Emily Kinsey of Norristown (551) took top honors.
For the season, the Pennsbury boys won first place in the SOL National after finishing second to Neshaminy the prior two years. Council Rock South won for the girls. The Pennsbury boys had the top average in the SOL with 1,028.86 pins per game, and the Pennsbury girls were tops in average with 869.19 pins, just ahead of Council Rock South’s 868.
The SOL Continental boys’ title was won by Norristown and the girls’ was won by North Penn.
