‘Tis the Season for Giving: $5,000 Up for Grabs in Our Caring for Community Giveaway

At the start of the year, we launched the "Committed to Local" giving program, an initiative that provides financial support to local nonprofits to help make a difference right here in the neighborhoods we serve. As the year comes to a close, we wanted to turn the tables by asking YOU, our customers and community members, which local nonprofit deserves our financial assistance.  Through our Caring for Community Giveaway, we will randomly award $5,000 to a deserving, local, nonprofit organization nominated by the members of the community it serves. 

Here’s how it works:

• Think of a local nonprofit that deserves the $5,000 donation.
• Nominate the group by posting a comment on the Univest Facebook page at www.facebook.com/UnivestCorporation explaining why you think the group should win the money. 
• Each “post” will count as an entry for the organization nominated. So, the more people that post on behalf of an organization, the better chance that organization has to be randomly selected. 

The contest launched on December 3, 2012 and will run through December 31, 2012.  To be eligible to win the $5,000, the nonprofit group must be a registered 501 (c) (3) organization that aligns with the Univest giving guidelines and operates somewhere in the Univest service area of Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties and the Lehigh Valley.
