Aubrey Bossert excelled in both field hockey and lacrosse. The Wissahickon senior was tri-captain of a lacrosse squad that advanced to the second round of the district tournament. A two-time first team all-league selection and team MVP, Bossert also was an Academic All-American as a junior. “It’s hard to pick one part of her game that’s better than the others,” coach Jamie Donahue said. “There are so many parts of her game that are top notch. Her speed is unmatched. She has stickhandling skills, she can score, get a ground ball, and she can win the draw.” In field hockey, Bossert also was a first team all-league selection for a Trojan squad that won its conference and advanced to the district semifinals while also earning a berth in the state tournament.
Bossert is a member of the National Honor Society, and she has earned an academic scholarship to Bloomsburg University, where she plans on majoring in exercise science with an eye on remaining involved in sports when she graduates.

Univest’s SuburbanOneSports.com Featured Male Athlete (Week of May 10)
James Stine was the captain as well as the heart and soul of Upper Dublin’s volleyball team. The senior power hitter didn’t begin playing volleyball until he was a sophomore but elevated his game to become the team’s leader. “He sets the standard for what is expected from every player, including himself,” coach Mary Jane Lyons said. “He’s very positive, but he’s appropriately aggressive. He expects people to be ready to play because he is. That expectation always makes for a good court presence, and the jayvee players want to be like him.”
Stine is vice president of the Student Government Association, and he is president of the school’s German Club. He is a member of the National Honor Society, and although Upper Dublin does not have class rankings, it’s no secret that Stine – who is taking six AP classes this year – would be number one if it did. He has earned the 2010 Upper Dublin Medal for Outstanding Male Student, and he will represent the school on Channel 6 ABC’s Best of the Class. “He’s the epitome of everything that is good about young people,” Lyons said. “He’s everything you’d want in a student-athlete.”
Stine will attend the University of Pennsylvania with the goal of pursuing a degree in business with a minor in environmental science and German. His goal is to become involved in the business end of the green and sustainability movement.
