Univest Corporation has partnered with SuburbanOneSports.com to recognize close to 500 Univest Featured Athletes over the years. Central Bucks South seniors Corinne Kenney, Josh Brodie and Dillon Kelly were recognized by Univest last Wednesday for their selection as Univest Featured Athletes.
“Suburban One Sports is a great platform for our students to be recognized, and Univest is a sponsor that provides these kids with great opportunities,” said Todd Bauer, House Principal Class of 2015. “What a great representation of CB South these three student-athletes are. Aside from being great athletes and great students, they are nice human beings.
“As a school, that product at the end as a graduate – there’s nothing better than being able to say it’s a nice person, and that’s absolutely representative of these three.”
Nicole O’Neil, on behalf of Univest, presented certificates of recognition and gift bags to Kenney, Brodie and Kelly.
“It’s really special to be able to recognize the hard work that the students, the coaches and the administration puts in to make their athletic programs such a success,” said O’Neil, Public Relations and Social Media Manager at Univest. “Community is one of the core values at Univest, and our Committed to Local philanthropic giving program donated $1.2 million to the local communities last year, and half of that went to educational initiatives.
“We know that it’s through extracurricular activities such as athletics that schools are able to cultivate their sense of community and engage with students in a meaningful way beyond the classroom.
“Each of these student-athletes has earned respect on and off the field, and we know this was not done alone. We would also like to acknowledge the families that support these students. They’re well-rounded and they’ve earned not only the admiration of their peers but also their coaches.”
SuburbanOneSports.com has recognized close to 500 seniors of high character over the years. It is only through the web site’s longstanding partnership with Univest that it is possible to tell the stories of these remarkable student-athletes.
