Univest’s SuburbanOneSports.com Featured Male Athlete (Week of April 12)
Kyle Sinding is the captain and offensive leader of North Penn’s volleyball team. “He’s a natural leader,” coach Kevin Eck said. “He will be a guy that whatever he decides to do in life he’s going to be very successful at because he’s just a natural leader, and people gravitate towards him.” A three-year varsity player, the 6-5 senior was his team’s MVP last year, and he is once again the Knights’ top offensive weapon. “The nice thing is he can run out of any part of the rotation,” Eck said. “He hits from all six places on the floor.”
Beyond volleyball, Sinding is ranked sixth (unweighted) in his senior class of 900-plus students. He is a member of the National Honor Society, he is enrolled in his school’s engineering academy, and he is a member of the Technology Student Association. Next fall Sinding will be attending Penn State University where he will be enrolled in the Schreyer Honors College for Engineering Sciences and Mechanics.

Univest’s SuburbanOneSports.com Featured Female Athlete (Week of April 12)
Megan Meyer is a captain and major contributor on the Central Bucks South track and field team. She was a member of the 4x800 relay team that placed eighth at indoor states the past two years, and this spring, her 4x800 team has already qualified for districts. A hard worker, Meyer is a role model for her teammates. “She trained really hard over the summer and had a fantastic cross country season, and it has translated to track,” coach Lauren Senske said. “She is a great leader by example. She never cuts corners in workouts. She does everything she can outside of practice to make herself a better runner. She’s very responsible.”
In addition to excelling in track, Meyer is an excellent student. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is ranked 31st in a class of 576. Her GPA is 4.1. She writes for her school newspaper and literary magazine, and she is working on her own novel.
Next year, Meyer will attend Millersville University where she will major in English with the goal of teaching.
