Congratulations to the UD Girls Swimming Team for their phenomenal performance this past weekend at District One Swimming Championships at LaSalle University. The girls finished second out of the 35 schools in the team competition, scoring over 100 points more than their closest competitor. Over the two day meet,the girls WON six of the eleven events, broke one pool record, two district records, and three school records.
Gold medal winners included Abbie Amdor, Elle Braun, Meghan DiMartile, Aly Breslin and Molly Braun, and Abbie was named "Swimmer of the Meet" after winning the 100 and 200 Freestyle and anchoring our two winning relays. The girls will send eight athletes to the PIAA State Championships next weekend at Bucknell.
