The Upper Merion Girls Freshman 4 team finished second in the finals at the Philadelphia City Championships.
The Upper Merion crew team had a strong showing at the Philadelphia City Championships. All the boats posted excellent times, many with their best times of the season.
Three Upper Merion boats raced in the finals, including Abigail Nolan in the Girls Novice 1x and Tyler Painter and Bob McLaughlin the Boys JV 2x. The Girls Freshman 4+ team rowed to a second place finish in the finals, earning a spot on the medal stand. Rowers in the big win were Aubrey Bucha, Nicole Itchon, Lana Fabia and Rebecca Willgruber with Joe Williams as coxswain.
