Upper Merion hosted its first ever tri-mach in school history on Saturday. Villa Maria has played for 12 district titles, winning 10. The Hurricanes have also played in three state finals, winning twice. Upper Merion has played in five district title matches, winning twice. The Vikings have won 11 of the last 13 American Conference titles. Unionville has advanced to the tournament five times and played for several district titles. Each of the three programs has over 500 wins, and along with Pennsbury have been the dominant teams in Class AAA volleyball over the past two decades.
Upper Merion senior Devyn Ingram had an outstanding day, contributing 12 kills and 30 digs in the win over Unionville and 13 kills and 22 digs in the Villa match. Cassidy Koenig had 34 assists vs. Villa and 21 assists with seven kills again Unionville. Middle hitter Annie Lawn had seven kills and three blocks vs. Villa while middle hitter Heather Krick had seven kills and 3.5 blocks against Unionville.
