Chris Vetter – Towson University (Lacrosse)
Major: Entrepreneurial Business
Final list of schools:
Towson, Notre Dame, Salisbury, Sienna, Loyola
Reasons for choosing Towson:  “I have been in and out of the Maryland area for three or four years with lacrosse tournaments. I have been to Baltimore so many times, and I just love the place. I love the people.”
What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate lacrosse?  “As soon as I started play and hearing kids committing to colleges, that was my dream to play in college. Coach Garcia has been there throughout my lacrosse career and throughout the entire process. I thank him a lot for that.
“Not only is it playing lacrosse but also all the interactions and the people you meet throughout the process. It’s awesome how tight the lacrosse community is and how many relationships you form throughout that time.”
Best high school lacrosse memory:  “My favorite moment was beating St. Joe’s Prep. They came into the game cocky, and we were definitely the underdog. A big group of our student body came out to support us, a lot of the town came out to support us and filled a good amount of the stands. They went up 3-0, and once that happens, you’re not expected to come back. We came back tied it up 3-3 and just kept going, shut them down and beat them by five.”
CB East coach Bruce Garcia says:  “Chris is strong, he has great footwork, and he sees the field very, very well. His athleticism belies his age, there’s no two ways about that.  Chris has always been one of the top scorers the last two years and probably will be in his senior year. He’s also a leader.
“He comes from a real solid family, a real athletic family, and he’s a good student. I have watched him play since he was in third or fourth grade. He always goes up to my wife, always shakes her hand, smiles at her and talks to her whereas other kids his age – not that they were disrespecting her, but he always goes out of his way to say hello. He’s not going to gain anything by it - that’s just part of his personality, and to me, that speaks wonders.”
