Yesterday was one for the record books at Wissahickon. The boys faced off against Hatboro Horsham for a meet that we knew would be close to the end. Hatboro started out strong, taking winning the Medley relay and breaking pool records in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. However, the Trojan boys stepped up, and pushed on to take 1st and 3rd in the 200 freestyle relay. The real excitement started right after our 2nd to last event. After Jake Berring took first place, Hatboro tied the meet with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Again, the Trojans knew what they had to do. Stand out swims from Doug Boehme, Luke Waechter, Jake Berring and Danny Knoll not only won the last even to win the meet, but broke the pool record in the 400 freestyle relay seating them nicely for districts. Other outstanding swims by Robbie Wilson in the 200 freestyle, Steven McFarland in the 500, David McFarland in the 200 and David Kauffman in the 200 IM.
It truly was an incredible meet, and senior night, which was a nice way to end their seasons.
