The Wissahickon Lady Trojans traveled to Upper Perkiomen following the long holiday weekend and came out ready to go leading 8-3 at the half. The offensive attack was led by senior captain Christina Tsiobikas with 6 goals in the game. Fellow senior, and captain Lilliana Xu netted 4 goals for the lady Trojans. Other scorers were Emma Benning (2 goals), Taylor Radell (1 goal) and captain Ellie Alberti (1 goal). The dominating offensive performance was made possible by the lock down defense, contributing to many breakaway goals. The Lady Trojans made 18 steals, 3 of which came from Goalie Caitlin Valentine who tallied 7 saves through 3 quarters. Wissahickon secured the victory with a final score of 14-10. The Wissahickon Girls water polo team looks to continue their momentum this Thursday with a Match at Upper Merion. Great first game.
