Haley Esposito – Chestnut Hill College (Soccer)

Major: Biology

Final list of colleges: Chestnut Hill, Holy Family

Reasons for choosing Chestnut Hill: “Liked the players and coaches. It’s a good chance to come in and compete right away.”

What was the progression that led you  to competing in soccer at the collegiate level? “I have always wanted to play in college, and it is something that I have always thought about. My recruiting process started late when my senior year already started, but it didn’t take long to find the school that was right for me.”

Coach Bob Crawford says: “Haley was in our program four years, and she was our varsity goalie for three years. She’s a fantastic kid. One of the biggest things is that she was very mature this year. She knew that she had to be the rock of the team, and she was this year. Not just saving the balls – she’s amazing with her feet, so sometimes she was like our fifth defender. It was amazing to watch her growth over the four years. I always knew she was going to be a good goalie, but watching her as a young woman, it’s amazing when you see an athlete blossom. That was the most impressive thing I saw from her.”
