Reasons for choosing Widener: “What really made Widener stand out was its location and the size of the school – it wasn’t as small as the 
other schools I was looking at. They had my major, and the coach really stood out the most because he offered the most that I wanted. The play style they have fit best for me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I didn’t play varsity until my junior year. The summer going into senior year I started to notice I could compete more on the varsity level, and my coaches helped me get noticed by coaches. I went to showcases, and I just knew I could take my skills to the next level. I found the school that was right for me.”
Coach Bruce Garcia says: “Jimmy is someone that comes along once in a while, and I’ve got to say I’m glad I’ve had the chance to coach him. Jimmy is a competitor, and he has that attitude and unfettered ability to never give up. Jimmy just has that way about him that I believe is going to propel Jimmy now and in the future to some pretty good things in his life. I’m sure of that. On the lacrosse field, Jimmy has exceptional skills and undying determination that belies his age. He’s going to do well for the lacrosse team as well as for himself in his collegiate career next year.”
