Collin Stein – Catholic University (Lacrosse)

Major:  Business or Engineering

Reasons for choosing Catholic:  “I went to the campus and took a look, and I fell in love with it. It’s a great place – it’s in D.C., a lot of great opportunities. I’m excited to play and also for the internship possibilities there are my junior and senior year.

What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level?  “I didn’t really love the game that much – when I first started playing, it was just another game to play because I was an athletic kid, but when I started playing at high school for Bruce Garcia, the way he taught the game – I just started to love the game. Probably in the summer before my junior year, I realized playing college lacrosse was something I wanted to do.”

Coach Bruce Garcia says:  “Collin just epitomizes what we are at East as far of the lacrosse program. He’s a multi-sport athlete, great disposition, team player, always wanting to work, and he brings 110 percent to the field every time he shows up. You can’t ask for any more than that.”
