On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Central Bucks East senior Erin Suter was recognized for committing to continue her swimming career at F&M College.

Reasons for choosing Franklin & Marshall: “When I met the team for the first time, everyone just felt like a family, and the 
coach was very supportive of me and is a person that puts academics first, and that’s why I waited so long. He was very conscious of that and said I’d be able to complete my academic studies, especially on a rigorous track like pre-med along with swimming. He was very avid on mental health and taking days for yourself, and that meant a lot to me about his core values.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in swimming at the collegiate level? “I’ve been swimming ever since I was three, and my dad was my coach since then. He coached me on my club team since eighth grade. Then I joined the high school team, and he’s been my coach every summer as well. I swim at North Hills Country Club, and he coaches there, so I’ve always been in the swimming world, and I can’t imagine my life without it because I’ve done it for so long.”
Coach Kristin Moyer says: “Erin is the perfect representation of what we want our East athletes to be. She was a responsible captain, but most importantly, she was a great leader. Not only by organizing events and tasks, but through leading by example. She is dedicated, hardworking, fun, funny, inclusive, and always looking for ways to bring our team together. She does this all with grace, class and when appropriate, humor. F&M is lucky to have this exceptional scholar-athlete be a part of their school and swim team. Congratulations, Erin. We look forward to all that you will accomplish at F&M.”
