On Thursday, May 20, 2021, Central Bucks South senior Jasmine Chui was recognized for committing to play softball at Holy Family University.

Major: Nursing
Reasons for choosing Holy Family: “I was limited in my schools because I wanted to go in for nursing and softball as well. My mom is an (alumna) of Holy Family. I reached out to the coach, I heard all good things about her and was very interested. I wanted a local college, and Holy Family was the right fit for me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in softball at the collegiate level? “I started playing softball at the age of 13, so I started pretty late. I just fell in love with the sport. I’ve always been good with my academic career, and I wanted to incorporate my athletics as well as my education.”
Coach Kevin Rosini says: “This was Jasmine’s second year varsity, but we lost the season last year because of COVID so this was her first time playing at the varsity level, and she held her own. She did a nice job for us. She’s a respectful kid, well liked by her teammates. She’s a hard worker. It’s hard when your first chance at varsity is your senior year because of losing a year. She did a nice job. She had a two-run homer to beat Pennridge early in the season. That was big for us and big for her. She had quite a few big hits for us and really found her way at shortstop as the season progressed and was a really good player for us. I was really excited when I heard she was committed to Holy Family. I know she’ll do a great job there. She’s a great kid.”
