Final list of colleges: Bloomsburg, Millersville, Shippensburg
Reasons for choosing Bloomsburg: “I chose Bloomsburg because of the track team, the atmosphere and the coaches, and the early education department is very nice.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in track at the collegiate level? “I have known that I wanted to compete in track. I contacted coaches – I emailed them, and Bloomsburg was the first one that showed an interest in my athletic ability.”
Coach Loretto Fantini says: “Julia Magee is one of the hardest working individuals I’ve had the pleasure of coaching. As an athlete, I don’t think she’s ever missed a practice or missed a meet. If she’s able to go, she will go, and she always gives 110 percent. As a person, she has great character. She’s a great teammate to everybody. She always is willing to help out the younger athletes. She was just a really valuable member of the team for the past four years.”
