On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Central Bucks South senior Riley Reteneller was recognized for committing to continue her swimming career at Monmouth University.

Reasons for choosing Monmouth: “I had such a good official visit. As soon as I walked on campus and met the team, I felt so at home. It was a very welcoming atmosphere. I know someone who is going there currently, and she is absolutely loving it.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in swimming at the collegiate level? “Ever since I was little, I have really loved swimming. My goal was to swim in high school and then as I started swimming in high school, I started realizing it was something I couldn’t not see myself doing. I’ve pretty much known since I was a little girl that I wanted to swim in college. It was more the degree of what I wanted to do – whether club or for the school. My junior year I really decided I wanted to swim for my college.”
Coach Dale Johnson says: “Riley Reteneller is an incredibly special student-athlete. She has been one of the biggest assets to our team. She’s incredibly talented in and out of the water, she’s a leader, and she is going to excel at Monmouth from the moment she steps on the campus. Right when I hopped on board as the new head coach for the swim season, Riley was a standout in her leadership and her ability to be coachable and so many other areas. Her teammates looked up to her in huge ways. We’ve loved having Riley as part of the CB South program. She has been integral to the team over the last four years, and we are so excited for her to go on and have a huge impact at the collegiate level swimming for Monmouth. All the CB South swimming coaches wish her the best.”
