On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Central Bucks South senior Yoyo Samayoa was recognized for committing to continue her basketball career at Lock Haven University.

Reasons for choosing Lock Haven: “I think it was the people I met when I went on my visit. It just felt very homey, and that was the biggest thing for me. I felt like I would belong there and be happy there. They have a competitive basketball program, and I think the basketball program will be a good fit for me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “I started playing basketball in fourth grade. I’ve always been a competitive person. Once I realized I really liked basketball and started committing to it in fifth and sixth grade – I just always saw myself playing college because I just enjoyed the game so much and want to keep going with it.”
Coach Beth Mattern says: “Yoyo is an incredibly hard worker, and I’m really proud of her and what she has put into growing herself in the game of basketball. I know she will be a great asset at the next level, and I can’t wait to cheer her on.”
