On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Central Bucks South senior Nora Sidorski was recognized for committing to continue her softball career at Franklin & Marshall College.

Nora Sidorski – Franklin & Marshall College (Softball)

Major: Mathematics with minor in Dance

Final list of colleges: F&M, Penn State Brandywine, Northampton Community College

Reasons for choosing F&M: “I decided to fully commit to softball really late in my life.  Aside from softball, F&M has such strong academics. Everyone I talk to and tell them I’m going to Franklin & Marshall, they say – ‘Oh my gosh, that’s such an amazing school.’ The academics are competing with Ivy Leagues like Harvard and Stanford. Academics aside, the campus is just beautiful. It’s right in the middle of Lancaster. It’s so pretty there. All the buildings are super nice.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in softball at the collegiate level? “I was a dancer, and I quit dance my sophomore year and decided that I wanted to play softball fulltime. I was on a really small travel team – didn’t get a lot of looks from coaches my sophomore year. I finally decided to step it up, take it to the next level and get on a real team. Junior year I was like, ‘I’m going to play at the next level,’ and it was really quick from there. The end of my junior year I was already talking to Franklin & Marshall and committed at that point.”

Coach Kevin Rosini says: “Nora worked so hard to become such a vital part of our team, especially this year as a senior. She played the outfield for us, she ran for us, she came off the bench and had two big pinch hit home runs for us this season. She scored the winning run for us against Pennsbury, she got the big pinch hit home run against Tennent, and she helped us in the playoffs. She really worked her tail off and deserves a chance to play college softball. Franklin & Marshall is getting a very good player. That’s a good program, and I couldn’t be any happier for her getting a chance to continue her career. She’s a team player – the energy she brought every day to practice and games was humungous. She’s a wonderful person, she’s a great student. I can’t speak highly enough about her. I’m beyond happy for her and her family. Franklin & Marshall is a really good school. Academically, she’s super high, and she’s fantastic.”
