Reasons for choosing Lehigh: “I saw my brother go through Lehigh, and he had a great experience. I have the opportunity to play baseball there. They have great academics as well as Division One athletics, so I couldn’t turn it down.”
What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate baseball? “It was probably last summer. I was playing a lot of baseball all summer. I really enjoyed it and started getting some attention. I decided I wanted to play baseball in college.”
Coach Jim Ertel says: “John is basically going to be a pitcher at the next level. He has a variety of pitches that he can throw for strikes. He has decent velocity, and he holds runners on pretty well, which he’s worked hard at because he didn’t do that initially.”
