Max McCloskey – Bloomsburg University (Swimming)
Major: Finance
Final list of colleges: Bloomsburg, Washington College, Salisbury
Reasons for choosing Bloomsburg: “It felt like home. I really liked the team, the coaches and the area.”
What was the progression that led you to swimming at the collegiate level? “This year compared to last year, I felt happier, and I was ready and decided I really wanted to swim in college because I love the sport a lot.”
Coach John Foff says: “I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Max for the past four years. He’s been an outstanding swimmer and a good person – very kindhearted. His work ethic is something to be admired. Everyone looks up to Max for how hard he works and his dedication and his knowledge of the sport. One of the best things about Max – he never quits, no matter how hard something is or how challenging it is. He’s one of those people you can rely on most and can just point to as a leader and someone you should try to be. Max is going to be missed a lot on the team, not just for his swimming success but also for his good nature, his fun and his positive attitude. Max is a great kid, and we’re going to miss him.”
