Reasons for choosing the Coast Guard Academy: “I chose the Coast Guard because it has a lot of great opportunities.”
What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I knew I wanted to play lacrosse, and in my junior year, it got a lot more intense, and I got a lot more playing time. I was approached by the coach for the Coast Guard.”
Lacrosse coach Didi Dean says: “Anne is at the United States Coast Guard Academy, and she just completed Swab Summer successfully, which was pretty grueling. She is such a dedicated athlete, student, humanitarian – she’s just an amazing girl. She was a two-time Academic All-American for lacrosse and field hockey, and she was a captain for both field hockey and lacrosse. She was a quiet leader but a leader nonetheless. She led by example – she wasn’t very vocal with the girls. She has a very pleasant demeanor, and she led on the field. She really would take charge and make things happen. She shared the ball. She was just a great team member and just a great person. I’m just so proud of what she’s done so far at the academy.”
