Tim Myarick – West Chester University (Basketball)

Major:  Business

Final list of colleges:  West Chester, Chestnut Hill, Mississippi Valley State

Reasons for choosing West Chester:  “Great program and great school”

What was the progression that led you to playing basketball at the collegiate level?  “I love playing basketball and the experiences I have from it. I started thinking about playing college basketball in the seventh grade. The recruiting started when I got my first phone call from a college coach in 10th grade.
“I want to thank my parents, all of my friends and family, and coach Pat (Fleury), coach Chris (Pender), coach Tai (Crutchfield), Coach Trist (Baker) and coach Isaac (Williams).”

Coach Patrick Fleury says:  “Tim was a pleasure to have for four years. He was one of the hardest working kids I have had in my time there. He didn’t start out as a projected first team all-conference player, but through hard work, passion, dedication and consistency, he was able to obtain that. He does everything well. He shoots left handed, but he’s right handed. He’s about 6-4 and still growing. His potential and just his willingness to learn and adapt is his greatest quality and beyond basketball will take him far.
“We love Tim, we’re going to miss Tim, we love his family. He was one of three brothers to come through the program – Chris, Nick and Tim. He has a lineage within the program , which used to be common and is somewhat common now where you have siblings come through and all are athletically gifted enough to play a varsity sport, especially a major varsity sport.
“I had a conversation recently with the coaches at West Chester. They’re super happy because they think as I do that they got a great steal. He’s just an outstanding person and student. He’s very humble. We’re going to miss him deeply and dearly.”
