CR South Seniors to Play Collegiate Soccer

Shannon Boyle – East Stroudsburg University (Soccer)

Reasons for choosing East Stroudsburg:  “The soccer program, the campus, and it’s close to home.”
What was the progression that led you to playing soccer at the collegiate level? “I have been playing club soccer since I was seven years old. I played on the high school team for four years. I started thinking about playing in college my freshman year. The recruiting process started in 10th grade when college coaches started coming to my games.”

Erica Crosier – Marist College (Soccer)

Secondary Education/Biology

Reasons for choosing Marist:  “It was a perfect match academically and athletically.”
What was the progression that led you to playing soccer at the collegiate level? “I played club soccer since I have been six years old and four years of high school soccer. Also, I have traveled around the country to play in national tournaments since my freshman year. I started thinking about playing in college when I was in middle school. The recruiting process started when I started my freshman year of high school, and I emailed coaches to come to my college showcase games.”

Taylor Dillon – St. Joseph’s University (Soccer)

Reasons for choosing St. Joe’s:  “Love the campus, close enough to home and the soccer program.”
What was the progression that led you to playing soccer at the collegiate level? “I’ve been playing club soccer since I’ve been six years old. I also played varsity high school soccer for the past four years. I started thinking about playing in college when I was a freshman in high school. It started around freshman/sophomore year – coaches could e-mail us and came to my games.”

Cait Jackson – Temple University (Soccer)

Secondary Education/Social Studies

Reasons for choosing Temple:  “I love the city, it was a perfect fit for me, and the girls on the team are great.”
What was the progression that led you to playing soccer at the collegiate level?  “It has been a dream of mine to play Division One soccer since I’ve been three. I’ve played club soccer since I was six. I continued to play at a highly competitive level, going to numerous national tournaments, and I love that level of play. I started looking at schools my freshman year and settled on Temple my junior year. I could not be more excited to play at the collegiate level.”

 

 

Gabi Rosenfeld – Stony Brook University (Soccer)

Reasons for choosing Stony Brook:  “I liked the coaches and the girls. The atmosphere at Stony Brook was great, and it had both the athletics and academics that I wanted.”
What was the progression that led you to playing soccer at the collegiate level?  “I began playing club soccer at six years old. My dad was my coach and inspired me to become the player I am today. I started thinking about playing in college when I was in ninth grade. My club team began attending college showcases, and I would email college coaches so they could come to my games.”
