Coach Michael Murray says: “Thomas Gallagher has been a starter since his first game as a freshman at Council Rock South. In his sophomore season, Thomas emerged as a defensive leader, guiding the team to a 13-5 regular season record and a #14 PIAA ranking, the highest in school history. This achievement also marked the school's first home playoff game. As a junior, Thomas was named captain and earned All-SOL Third Team Honors. As a senior, Tom returned as a three-year starter and one of three team captains, Thomas led the team to a 16th place finish and another playoff appearance. He was named first-team SOL defense in the highly competitive SOL National Division.
“Thomas Gallagher is one of the best players to come through Council Rock South. His tremendous impact on the field included defending the opposition’s best player and neutralizing any advantage through face-offs. A highly competitive athlete, Thomas also excelled in football, earning All-SOL honors in both sports. He was chosen by the coaches as team MVP and is a model student-athlete destined for an outstanding career at Chestnut Hill.”
