Council Rock South seniors Alex Patrizi and Tyler Perkins were recognized for committing to continue their lacrosse careers at the collegiate level.

What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? Participating in Council Rock Lax, Bucks Lax and Council Rock South High School Lax
Coach Mike Murray says: “Alex was poised to take the reins as the starting goalie in 2020. He sees and thinks the game at an advanced level. Alex also wrestled and played travel ice hockey at South. Alex has the ability to make an impact on the D3 level in the crease with his quick hands.”

Major: Hospitality & Tourism/Restaurant Management

Reasons for choosing FDU: “It was an extremely difficult decision, but FDU had my major of Hospitality and Restaurant Management. Also, they have a great coaching staff on the lacrosse team. The team builds a very close bond that I wanted to be a part of.”
What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I was a football player when I was younger but switched to lacrosse. Lacrosse has a combination of speed, physicality and scheme that I enjoy.”
Coach Mike Murray says: “Tyler leaves South as a two-year starter and valuable member of the South lacrosse program. In 2019, he won the Coaches Award given to the player with highest impact on the team on and off the field. He is a strong defender with speed. Tyler is a natural leader among his peers.”
