Brandon Sherwood – Clarkson University (Baseball)
Major: 5-year MBA plus Entrepreneurship Program
Reasons for choosing Clarkson: “Clarkson has a top 10 business and entrepreneurship program in the US. Each freshman conceives and starts a business that is funded by the university. Also, the baseball program and coaches are outstanding. I choose the school because it has the complete package that I was looking for.”
What was the progression that led you to playing baseball at the collegiate level? “I started during my freshman year when I decided that I wanted to dedicate my time and training to becoming the best baseball player I could be, with the goal of being recruited by a collegiate baseball coach. The true recruitment process started my junior year when I started attending baseball showcases nationwide and communicated with 15 different college coaches.”
Coach Ted Kirner says: “Brandon was a two-year varsity player who contributed to our team’s efforts at multiple positions. Brandon pitched, played second and third base, and was also a designated hitter during his tenure. Brandon brought a solid work ethic and a very strong desire to compete. I look forward to following Brandon’s career at Clarkson University.”
