On Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, eight Central Bucks South seniors were recognized for committing to continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level.
Flynn Carroll – Eastern University (Baseball)
Major: Undecided
Reasons for choosing Eastern: “Eastern was my first offer, so I took it. The coaches were really welcoming, the program is a really good program, and I just really connected to all the coaches there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “Ever since t-ball, I’ve always loved playing. I played a bunch of sports growing up, but baseball is the sport I stuck with the longest.”

Jordan Chui – Juniata University (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Juniata: “It felt like home when I got there, and the coaches there were amazing. The facility is also really nice, and it just outweighed every other school.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “It started after middle school. I really started getting serious about it. Once COVID started, it really made me figure out if I wanted to take the next step or not.”

Reasons for choosing Moravian: “It was a good feel when I went on campus for my first tour. The baseball coach was very open and very honest with me, easy to communicate with – that was really important to me. Also, it was the best balance education-wise and baseball-wise. I felt like it gave me the best opportunity.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “I sort of always knew I wanted to play in college, and it was figuring out the best path of how to get there, finding the right AAU team. I surrounded myself with the right teammates and right coaches, and that set me up for success.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “Sophomore year was when it hit me because a coach at a showcase came up to me and told me he liked me, and that made me want to do it.”

Reasons for choosing Clarion: “I felt very welcomed at Clarion, I liked the coaches, and I was able to talk to a couple of the current players on the team. Just the campus fit in general – I felt very welcomed there. As soon as I stepped on the campus, it felt like a future home for me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “I really started working as hard as I could around middle school age, and once I got to high school, I knew how serious of a baseball player I could be. I knew my potential. Obviously, I wanted to play at a high level from a very young age.”

Reasons for choosing Widener: “I toured the campus, and it really felt special. It just felt like a really good atmosphere. Student life seemed amazing there, and I just liked the style of campus. Their baseball program is very successful every year.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “After eighth grade season for middle school, I decided this could be the thing for me, and I decided to really put my heart into it and really practice every day to get to this point.”

Reasons for choosing Maine: “They had my major, the coaching staff really wanted me there, and I thought it was a great fit for me, going to play for someone that wanted me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “I have been playing it the longest of all three sports, and I like it the most.”

Reasons for choosing Widener: “Just the campus. The coach had a good plan for us as student-athletes. It seemed like the place I wanted to be at and a place I could grow as a person and an athlete.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “The summer between my sophomore and junior year baseball kind of picked up, and it seemed more fun and less of a job. I just wanted to continue playing it and having fun with my friends.”
