Sierra Eskridge – Penn State Wilkes-Barre (Basketball)
Major: Undecided but considering English
Final list of colleges: Penn State Wilkes, Arcadia, Montco
Reasons for choosing Penn State Wilkes: “It was a really small school, and I don’t like big campuses. They also gave me the opportunity to play basketball.”
What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate basketball? “I’ve been playing basketball since I was in third grade. It’s been a major goal of mine to play in college. It didn’t matter if it was D-2 or D-3 – I just wanted to play.”
Coach Rodney Cline says: “Sierra is a player who understood the game and left everything out there on the court in every game. She did the little things that you as a coach cannot teach – things like diving on the floor and out of bounds for a loose ball, boxing out and just being in the right position on offense and defense when no one else was. She will do well in college!”
About Sierra:
Favorite food: Chinese
Favorite movie: Anything funny
Favorite music: “It’s all over the place – rap, pop, rock, a little bit of country.”
