Jugwang Lee – Lock Haven University (Football)

Major:  Criminal Justice

Final list of colleges:  Lock Haven, Kutztown, Cheyney, Millersville

Reasons for choosing Lock Haven:  “I really like the coaches there, and I heard their academics are good as a criminal justice major. The coach told me they will help me get internships, so I decided to go to Lock Haven.”

What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate football?  “After my sophomore season, I started thinking about playing college football, but I was injured when I was a junior, so it was kind of hard for me to get looks from college coaches. Thank God I did well this season.”

Coach Jeff Cappa says:  “Ju is a very athletic lineman who can play both offense and defense. Ju matured tremendously in the offseason going into his senior year. This is a kid that going into his senior year did not miss any workouts, led by example, worked extremely hard. He’s also a first year starter, but he learned what it takes to get on the field and lead our team not only in the playoffs but to a playoff win. Ju also has great support at home. He works hard academically and athletically, and he also is a multi-sport athlete. He wrestles and does track.”

Lock Haven coach John Allen says:  “Ju Lee has the strength and quickness to be a very good lineman early. He loves to compete on the field and in the weight room.”
