Noah Ferker – Monmouth University (Swimming)
Major: Computer Science
Final list of colleges: Monmouth, Fairfield, Wagner, Drexel, Bucknell
Reasons for selecting Monmouth: “I felt that Monmouth was a school that I would be able to excel at both in the pool and in the classroom.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in swimming at the collegiate level? “I have been swimming competitively since I was six years old and always wanted to swim at the highest level that I could. Recruiting started the day after my sophomore year ended, and it began with me reaching out to schools and coaches through recruiting questionnaires.”
Coach Karney Cacciavillano-MeNear says: “Noah has been swimming competitively since he was six. He definitely has been preparing for the next level throughout his career. Right now he’s a senior level swimmer, and his best events are the 200 free, 100 free and 200 IM. He’s a very diverse swimmer, and he swims all strokes pretty well, and that’s why he’s pretty enticing to colleges. He’s very tall, and his technique is very strong. He’s hungry, and he’s a consistently hard worker. He comes from a great family, a great support system. He’s a standout in high school, and he represents his teams well as a leader because he’s a captain for both teams (club and high school).”
