Logan Glidea – Arcadia University (Soccer)

Major: Physical Therapy.

Favorite high school memory: “My favorite high school memory is playing the state final.”

Coach Tom Foley says:  “Logan did a really nice job for us. He actually got thrown into the fire last year in the state final. He did a really nice job coming off the bench cold in a really big spot against a really good team. He carried things over well into the season. A couple games stand out – he stole us a tie against Central Bucks West when we didn’t come out with our best game, and he played a really nice game against a strong Abington team. Unfortunately, we lost on a PK 1-0, but he played really great there too. His height – you can’t teach height. He did a great job using his height, and balls coming across were easy pickings for him. He’s going to be a real asset for Arcadia’s program.”

Daniel Lowman – Albright College (Soccer)

Major: Biology

Favorite high school memory: My favorite high school soccer memory is scoring a header against Bensalem. Another memory I will never forget is leading the underclassmen at senior workouts.

Coach Tom Foley says: “Dan is a hard worker. He was a good team player. He didn’t get a lot of time, but when he did, he got a couple of goals against Bensalem, he got a goal against Truman. He tries to play the right way. He doesn’t hold the ball. He’s a good forward in the sense that he gets the ball and gets rid of it. He’s going to Albright, and I’m sure he’ll compete for some kind of position there. He’s a real asset because he’s a really solid kid and a solid team player.”

AJ Rivera – East Stroudsburg University (Soccer)

Major: Undeclared

Favorite high school memory:  “My favorite high school memory is scoring my first goal in the state semifinal vs Emmaus and earning a District championship and reaching the State final in Hershey, Pa. I am extremely blessed to be named a senior captain and becoming a Neshaminy alum at such a prestigious soccer program.”

Coach Tom Foley says: “He reads the game really well, he anticipates where the ball’s going to go, he’s a strong tackler, and he gets rid of the ball very quickly. He’s a no-fuss, no-muss back. He knows what he wants to do with the ball, and it’s very difficult to get by him. He always cleaned up all the mistakes, and he turned into quite a player for us.

“AJ was our best player all year. He was an integral part of our state championship run too. He was a first team all-league player, and he was a great leader for our defense, and he will definitely be sorely missed.”

Jose Rivera – East Stroudsburg University (Soccer)

Major: Undecided

Favorite high school memory: “My favorite high school memory is winning the District 1 finals, and also scoring in the State Finals. Another memorable moment in my high school career is earning the chance to represent my team as a captain.”

Coach Tom Foley says: “Jose was a really good player with his back to the goal. We ran our offense through him. We targeted him. He did a great job of holding the ball, letting us get out, and then we kind of played off of him. He got everything started for us. He had a really nice year. He had 10 or 11 goals, which is a real nice year. What he brings to the table is tough to teach because that’s how we want to play. We like to play targeting our forward and letting our forward hold it for us, and he did all that for us. He’s another kid that’s going to be tough to replace.”
