Chloe Novak – Monmouth University (Lacrosse)
Major: Biology
Final list of colleges: Monmouth, Boston University, U.S. Naval Academy, University of New Hampshire, Cincinnati
Reasons for choosing Monmouth: “I picked Monmouth because it’s really a family atmosphere, and that’s really important to me. It’s by the beach, which is nice, and the academics are good. It just felt right. There’s no other explanation.”
What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I always knew I wanted to play lacrosse in college. I was part of a club team, and recruiting was a big part of it. I was brought up wanting to play lacrosse in college. I used to play field hockey, but my freshman year I dropped that and focused on lacrosse.”
Coach Heather Mellow says: “Chloe will be a four-year starter for the lacrosse team. She was second team all-league last year, and this year will be her second season as our captain. She is definitely our most passionate player on the team. She would play 24-7, 365 days a year, and the extra day in leap year, she would definitely jump in on that day too. She’s a leader off and on the field for our team.”
