North Penn Foursome Playing Collegiate Football

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, North Penn seniors Josiah Coleman, Aidan Eves, Ryan Bocklet and Jackson Schurmann were recognized for committing to play collegiate football.

Ryan Bocklet – Sacred Heart University (Football)
Major:
Business Analytics
Final list of colleges: Sacred Heart, Villanova, Connecticut, Rutgers
Reasons for choosing Sacred Heart: “In the end, I chose Sacred Heart because of the connection I had with the coaches and the opportunities I will have there in the classroom and on the field.”
Coach Dick Beck: “Ryan was Mr. Consistency. When you have a weapon like him – he’s probably good from 55 yards in. It’s nice to know when you cross the 50 – you’re thinking, ‘All right, we can be a little aggressive here because if we don’t get it, we can kick the field goal and get three points out of it.’ He only missed one extra point all year, and that was blocked. He’s been starting for us for four years, so what a career. I expect nothing but great things when he gets to Sacred Heart.”
About Ryan:
Favorite food:
Pasta
Favorite TV show: Ozark
Favorite music: Country

Josiah Coleman – Widener University (Football)
Major:
Undecided
Final list of colleges: Widener, Millersville, ATC
Reasons for choosing Widener University: “It was a last-minute decision because I wanted to play football.”
Coach Dick Beck: “Josiah really came on. Early in the season, he was kind of buried in the depth chart, and then he had a breakout game against Council Rock South and really became our home run hitter with his speed and quickness. Once he got through the first way, he just ran until he scored. He made us pretty versatile because we could also put him in the backfield and then put Matt Pownall out at receiver and be kind of a dual threat in that situation.”
About Josiah:
Favorite food:
Cheese Steak
Favorite movie: Avatar
Favorite music: R&B, Rap, Gospel

Aidan Eves – Sacred Heart University (Football)
Major:
Mechanical Engineering
Final list of colleges: Sacred Heart, RPI, Carnegia Mellon, Lehigh
Reasons for choosing Sacred Heart: “I chose Sacred Heart because of the awesome coaching staff and the opportunities in the classroom as well as the great location.”
Coach Dick Beck: “Aidan is very versatile, and he did a lot of things for us this year. He’s a blocking tight end, he’s a receiving tight end, and he’s a fullback. He played defensive end, he played D-tackle, and he probably had his best games as we went through the playoffs. Against CB South, he had two humongous strips. One strip and one he deflected when he hit the quarterback and recovered it - they called it an interception. He had a great game against Haverford. He had a big play in the fourth quarter – caused a fumble and recovered it. He just played so good during the playoffs.”
About Aidan:
Favorite food:
Pasta
Favorite movie: Spider Man
Favorite artist: Megan Moroney

Jackson Schurmann – Muhlenberg College (Football)
Major:
Business/Finance
Final list of colleges: Muhlenberg, King’s College, Widener
Reasons for choosing Muhlenberg: “I chose Muhlenberg because I got along with the coaching staff of the football program, and they have a great business program.”
Coach Dick Beck: “Jackson transferred back from La Salle two years ago. He broke his ankle his junior year in the second game of the year. This year he was our deep threat. He probably had three touchdowns of 50-plus yards, and also, defensively, he provided a lot of depth for us in the secondary. He’s a bigger kid – 6-1, 6-2, so I expect him to really do well at college playing receiver with his size and speed.”

Favorite food:
Steak
Favorite movie: Interstellar
Favorite music: Country
