North Penn Seniors Commit to Play Collegiate Football

North Penn seniors Tyler Gillet, Nick Isabella, Dan Lare, Justin Ostopowicz, Dante Stewart and Dante Watson were recognized for committing to play collegiate football.

Tyler Gillet – King’s College (Football)
Coach Dick Beck says:
“Tyler was a back-up running back for us and he was a nickel defensive back, so in passing situations, he would come into the game. He has good size for a running back. He’s 6-foot, 195 pounds, and he runs pretty good. Being stuck behind two players like Justin Ostopwicz and Nyfease West affected him playing time-wise, but he was a super hard worker for us and really gave us some good depth on the offensive side of the ball and played well for us on the defensive side of the ball.”

Nick Isabella – Kutztown University (Football)
Coach Dick Beck says:
“Nick was a linebacker/fullback for us and was first team all-league. He’s kind of undersized at 5-9 ½, 200 pounds, but at that position – fullbacker and linebacker, he has elite speed. He’s a 4.6 40 kid and has great intensity and strength and was a game breaker for us, especially on the offensive side of the ball. If he broke a crease, he scored on a lot of long touchdown runs for a fullback, and as a linebacker, his best game of his career would have been against Pennsbury when he had something like 15 tackles and played great.”

Dan Lare – King’s College (Football)
Coach Dick Beck says:
“Dan Lare is a developing offensive lineman, who has probably put on 20 or 30 pounds on since the season ended. He was a somewhat of an undersized offensive lineman at 6-foot, 230, but now he’s in the 260 to 265 range. He was a second team all-league performer and was our most productive offensive lineman.”

Justin Ostopowicz – Kutztown University (Football)
Coach Dick Beck says:
“There’s a kid 5-7 and 175-180 pounds that just had a great year for us on offense, catching the ball out of the backfield. He was our do-everything player last year. He could run the ball out of the backfield, catch the ball out of the backfield and he could line up in the slot. On defense, he played some safety and outside linebacker. He was a productive defensive player for us.”

Dante Stewart – King’s College (Football)
Coach Dick Beck says:
“Dante is an undersized inside linebacker at 5-7, 190 pounds, but he played with great intensity. For the linebacker position, he had elite speed – he and Isabella were similar speeds. Dante led our team in tackles, and he won the most Defensive Player of the Game awards for us.”

Dante Watson – East Stroudsburg University (Football)
Coach Dick Beck says:
“Dante is a defensive back, a tall rangier kid at 6-1, 180 pounds. He was the fastest kid on the track team this year and placed fourth in the state in the 400 meters. He really developed at the end of the year as a cover corner and took some of the pressure off of Nyfease West where Nyfease didn’t have to cover their best receiver all the time and could be a little more fresh on offense. He was our most improved player coming from his junior year to his senior year.”
